We are a young medical technology company based in the Magdeburg science port. Here, our international and interdisciplinary team develops solutions for a wide range of applications in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Our goal is to provide more patients with access to MRI technology, which offers the best soft tissue contrast as a non-invasive technology.

Newborns and infants can have a variety of complications in their first months and years of life. The earlier a child is born, the higher the risk of any mal- and dysfunction of the body. To save life and prevent long-term disorder, possible damage must be recognized as early as possible. The common imaging methods for diagnosing pediatric diseases are Ultrasound and X-ray. For infants, MRI is a much gentler imaging alternative since the patients are not exposed to radiation and not physically touched. MRI offers high-resolution imaging of all organs with an excellent soft-tissue contrast, which reveals – in the hand of trained experts - many pediatric problems such as congenital malformations, acute bleeding in the brain, neurological disorders or inflammation and tumors. But MRI examinations usually require sedation of the newborn, and the transports to the radiological departments are often long, effortful, and sometimes risky for the patients. Although there is a high medical interest in MR imaging, it is to date not the main imaging method that is used in pediatric care daily life. For this reason, Neoscan Solutions is devoted to develop a new MRI system especially for the most vulnerable patients, to expand their diagnostic options and making MRI simple and available whenever and wherever it is needed. Our system is adapted to the individual requirements and needs of newborns and infants.

Innovating MRI & MRS for cutting edge research We drive innovation in MRI and MRS through our dedicated development efforts centered on the following key components: - High-temperature superconductor (HTS) magnets. - An advanced digital console equipped with patient safety monitoring capabilities. - Cutting-edge MR# and LUMINA software solutions. System integration is among our core competencies, and we specialize in tailoring MRI/MRS systems or subsystems to suit the specific needs of research or clinical settings. The design of our compact HTS magnets allows use in a wide range of applications, from low field to ultra high field. The configurable diameter of the magnetic aperture enables MR examinations of tissue samples, animals, and adults. Our HTS magnets are conductively cooled, eliminating the need for liquid helium. Compared to conventional LTS magnets with the same specifications, our HTS magnets are more compact, lightweight, and have a smaller stray field. Due to their sustainable design, HTS magnets are repairable and reconfigurable so the superconductor can be reused at the end of the product life.
